BMW R1200R R1150R/T F800 K1200R R1100R/T R1250R RnineT Message Board

The wife finally wants to ride with me. Back and neck problems have been an issue for her so I have been looking for backrests for the R and no one seems to make them or stock them anymore except for this one.

I like it, but for that much money I think a good top case that has a backrest built into it might be a better option. Any ideas? The primary function of this top case for me would be for the backrest. Thanks in advance!

Don't know about any affordable top-cases w/ backrests but if you go on e-bay right now, someone is selling a Pirate's Lair Stealth Backrest.
Search "BMW R1150R stealth backrest".

I've got a Givi, don't know the exact size. But makes a good backrest for a passenger. They have an extremely strong frame. I can send you some pics if that would be helpful.
