We were coming back from Baton Rouge and were on I-10 going west through Lafayette, passed an SUV pulling a dressed 1200RT on a trailer. I was gonna wave but my wife said just drive you idiot he doesn't know you have a BMW!

What were you doing in Baton Rouge? And an FYI, if you were heading to i 49, US 190 is a much nicer ride, and just as fast, or nearly so. Speed trap in Livonia. Baton Rouge has some of the worst traffic in the US.

Anyway, I believe the etiquette is just giving a thumbs up. He'll know.

I need to get a sticker on my car that says something so the guy won't think I'm just extra friendly, lol.

My wife's grandma was 100 years old Saturday so we went down for a celebration and family reunion from all over. Not sure she will make it to 101 so...anyway it was a fast trip driving down there Friday via I-40 to Henrietta and then south on Indian Nation Turnpike to 270 that went on down south through Paris, Texas and on to I-20, then over to I-49 at Shreveport, etc. It wasn't a bad ride but that sh270 is a truck route so the 70 mph limit didn't mean much when trucks were stacked four deep in front of you :). So, coming back we were running late and went on over to dallas instead, little better time going that way. 635 wasn't so bad Sunday afternoon...

Yeah Baton Rouge is always pretty jammed up...but I enjoy going across the piece of I-10 that goes past Whiskey Bay, etc...pretty and relaxing drive...wishing I could pull the boat down there and do some fishing.
