2011 R1200R The Perfect Roadster?

Post by dutchie »

I should have stayed off but could not resist the temptation. I picked up my 2009 R from the service department for its yearly service. Our service manager asked if I had tested the New R; and there is one right over there. I have to be honest mine is nicer looking! (White/silver wheels) I said. Just ride it she said. The tester was Red and as soon as I threw my leg over it I was hooked. For starters the look over the bars is completely different. The new seat is lower and much more comfortable. I bought a Rick Meyers seat for the 09 and the stock seat feels great. The Ride. To me it's a totally different machine; aside the bar controls and general appearance. Although the horse power increase isn't that much, the bike has punch. Before the 09 I road a Brutalle. The R has grown a big pair of B--l's. It's so much more fun to ride the difference is astonishing. The suspension changes are great. Is the updated R the perfect Roadster, whats your opinion. For me it is. If you ride a R1200R now and you have no discipline/self control, Stay away from the showroom! I wonder whats next for the R.
