BMW R1200R R1150R/T F800 K1200R R1100R/T R1250R RnineT Message Board

Have an opportunity to buy '04 1150r with ABS. Some damage but it looks nothing spectacular. Engine was apparently turned off immediacy after fall in the right turn (scrapped head). Considering that the engine is fine how much will it cost in parts to have it fixed? What else to look for? How much should I pay for it?

$500. Is the front end straight? I think it might be a black hole with wheels.

Parts bike from what I can see, it is probably not worth the time and money to get it running with a new instrument cluster (plus wiring and rewiring it), head cover, tank, steering triple clamp, handle bars and instruments. And who knows what else?
