Brake Question
I have a 02 R1150RT with about 60000 miles. When I press my rear brakes alone they work, but do not have power ABS. When I press my front brakes alone they do have power ABS. When I put the rear and front brakes on together they both have power ABS. But after that first press on the rear and front brakes together they both work but no longer have power ABS.
Any thoughts on this?
Thanks

Re: Brake Question
What specific conditions signify that you do not "have power ABS"?When I press my rear brakes alone they work, but do not have power ABS. When I press my front brakes alone they do have power ABS. When I put the rear and front brakes on together they both have power ABS. But after that first press on the rear and front brakes together they both work but no longer have power ABS.
Any warning lights from the iABS system (triangle warning and/or "ABS" lamp)?
When was the iABS last serviced?
Rockster#2, K1300S, S1000R (for sale)
Re: Brake Question
When I “have power ABS” I hear a whining noise. So, when I press the front brakes alone and there is no whine noise I am assuming I do not have power ABS then. Right now, none of the warning lights from the iABS system are on. I serviced the iABS system last winter 2009 thanks to the great information on this and other sites. I bought the bike this way and I’m finally wanting to fix it.
