As i report in previous post in my intention was to covert my 99gs in r1150r....
So i bought a used r1150r 2004 model and i took all the parts.

I keep the fuel tank of touratech the electrical system of gs(including ABS) the engine the rear subframe with the seats and i replaced all the rest.
I left the shocks of gs(WP) because is better for the confort and better for settings

So the licence now is r1150r...

the only problem which i had was the ABS which didn''t want to cooperate with the new abs rings of r1150r.

Every time when i passed the 110mile per hour the abs was out of function and the instrument of BMW read (problem on front sensor)

after a couple tests i decide to bye a abs ring from r1100s and to fit it on

the wheele of r1150r the problem was that the 5 bases of rings was to fat...
So i minimize the bases in 2mm and then i put it and yes it work perfect!!

The only think which i would like to put now is the front half feneder any opinions????

The bike now have all the geometry of r1150r and the handling is lovely.

The pozition is very confort and the bike very stable in curves. I shorted 40 mm the front shocks and the bike coming much better in turnes, how ever i dont like the transmission system of r1150r so i decide to change ot with my old gear box which have long 6th gear and no vibration as r1150r(aftrer a 110 miles/h the bar has vibration because the engine work at7000- 7200 rpm)

Some photos you can see here( i dont know how to post it in this thread

Unfortunately it is not possible to see the photos unless one is registered on this greek site. With regards to the ABS rings it is a known problem that the newer ABS rings made from metal-sheet are not compatible to the older ABS systems where the ring is cast metal. Hence to make this compatible the older ring has to be used and the 5 fixing points need to be milled-down by the difference in thickness between the 2 rings.

Best regards
Oliver
