I'm going nuts. I want to twist that throttle and go. Ohh well just a thought 3 months to go. I rode last winter, this year I'm not that crazy. Black ice freezing temps. No thank you. Anyway just sharing my thoughts. Happy new year everyone.

I used to love winter back when I had snowmobiles, but now I sit and wait for the first chance o take a ride on the beemer. I was hoping that it would rain enough today to wash some salt off the road so that I might be able to ride a couple miles. Might get out tomorrow if i'm lucky.
HAPPY NEW YEAR. Ride em if you can people!

Saw one bike out today - in the epicenter of the great Christmas blizzard of 2010 (Belmar NJ - got 32", as did our town nearby..) Wasn't a BMW.. sport bike of some type.

Problem is - roads still have large lumps of ice-packed snow on them, my driveway has about 10' of hard-pack ice/snow to clear pavement.. but it's supposed to hit 50F tomorrow, so, you never know.. :)

Wow, I feel for you guys. Being born and raised up north, I know what your feeling. It's also the reason I've lived in Florida the past 25 years. It has been pretty chilly around here this past month. My on board thermometer hit 22 degrees one morning while riding to work, but we don't have to garage the bike and wait for the snow to melt. Today is expected to be sunny and in the low 70's. A few of us are going to saddle up for a New Years Day ride. I hope your weather clears up soon and you can get your ride out.
Happy New Year

Weather has been pretty good in upstate NY. Been out riding again for the last 2 days. 11:00 AM and 44 degrees in Albany, NY. Salt and wet roads are currently history.

A carbon copy of my ride up in CT today; too hard to resist. Got some gas and hit some of the safer main routes but didn't see any other bikes. It was a bit surreal riding by the ice fisherman on Bantam Lake and being totally comfortable. Hosed off the salt and fussed over the Mistress a bit when we got back - all good!

Enjoyed a great News Years Day ride today. Rode with three other riders and clicked off 250 miles. Mid 70's, sunny. Took some nice roads to a News Years Day Party. Met up with other fellow riders and pigged out on good food. Good ride, good friends, & good food. Happy New Year to All.

Traveling in SE Iowa last night, coming back from girfriends moms house around eight oclock. Damn if I didn't come up on a guy riding a Bergman running approx 60 mph in the middle of nowere. I'm sorry 11 degrees is friggin cold and he was just motoring along. I suppose he had the gear for it but way too cold for me unless I'm riding an arctic cat snowmobile :)
