Fender or License Plate Extender
Anyone know a source for an extender for the license plate mount, what would traditionally be called a rear fender extender?

The only person ( now long gone ) on this forum who was concerned with his rear fender was trying to make it shorter. Are you trying to keep the spray down?

I want a place to mount some reflective material. Keeping the spray down is a secondary consideration (Probably no hugger in this year's budget).

I've never seen one in person and don't know if a US spec plate would make a difference...

I also seen one on a European site a while back without the printing on it, but cannot locate the link.

Nippy Normans here in the UK (http://www.nippynormans.com) list a "rear number plate extender" which looks like what you want at £39- although I don't know about carriage to where you are. They also list huggers at around £120 and front fender extenders at around £20 which I can recommend.
Another great addition to my RR from the same source were the Acerbis hand protectors which were about £75 if remember rightly. These have made a great difference to comfort in the cold weather with the BMW heated grips.
Best wishes

Hi Peter - good to have another Brit onboard (there aren't many of us!)
Thanks for the tip on the NN Acerbis Hand Protectors - I will post a new topic regarding these as I don't think they've been mentioned on the forum before and are probably of interest to a few people. It would be gerat if you could post pics of them fitted.

Peter,
there is a tab called 'Img' above the message box - you click on the tab and insert the link to your photo between the tags that appear in your message.
However, first you need to upload your image to something like Photobucket to create the link to insert.
Alternatively you could email photos to me - (mort77uk at yahoo d0t co d0t uk) and I could post them.
