Saints fans have paid their dues, good luck.
My only concern at this point are the scores at the end of each quarter.
Without gambling, only New Orleans and Indiana would watch the game.

Great game, 2 penalties, and the fastest running clock ever.
Everything passed underneath, the best corners on both sides, nothing deep after Drive #1, a real battle of the linebackers.
The Saints played the best bend and don't break game.
Those fans deserve tonight.
Congrats.

I'm back!
it was crazy downtown. The CBD was closed to traffic, no streetcars running.
At 1am it was packed solid. Nothing but behaved people. Who Dat was a mating call. I still hear people yelling outside as I type this. Bourbon St was Mardi Gras packed, but Royal was packed too! Way more than MG... All the bars were packed, it was great. And Glenlivet is not as good as Macallan 12, but does the trick.
Totally unique experience, similar to Mardi Gras but different. Everyone friendly. Lots of High Fiving.
Amazing
time to load pictures and try to sleep and see how that hot sausage po-boy sits in me at 3+am.

"Happy" doesn't come close; ecstatic is not right eaither. I think the closest is Joyous
This is part of a letter I wrote to a dear friend this afternoon.
----
Working out to burn off excesses of last night. Woo hoo
How about those Saints?!!!
What a party downtown! No violence at all. I made about 250 new best friends. Ha. I have NEVER seen Royal street so crowded. Bourbon was as crowded as Mardi Gras, but it was the middle of the night!. A Macallans at Cafe Adelaide; another at Lafitte's Blacksmith Shop - yes, the REAL one, and then a diet Coke at the Carousel Bar at the Monteleone. Everyone was polite. Smiles all around.
Lots of high fiving. You'd walk down the street and yell who dat. And you'd get a who dat back like a mating call from somewhere not readily discernable. So much fun.
You'd walk down the street and just say to the stranger next to you, black white hispanic Vietnamese young old or pick the combo. Didn't matter. You'd say This is "unbelievable." And they would agree. That stranger would use the same word: Unbelievable. Yet throughout the season and the game the operative word was "believe" that they could come back and so often they did. Finish Strong a popular T Shirt proclaims.
And you'd agree with that former stranger, now friend, what a unique set of circumstances this is. And you'd agree how wonderful it is. And so long in coming. And how good the saints played and how the colts and manning were awfully good. And this was no fluke. And the conversations would end as they began- with a big smile and how "unbelievable" all of this was, knowing inside something very special was being shared that transcends the game the score the colors the chants
It was and continues to be amazing. No one has seen this city come together like this. I think maybe the closest was maybe VE or VJ Day at the end of WWII, from what I heard my parents say.
I know this sounds grandiose and oh-come-on. But, this is unbridled joy for a few million people and the feeling is palpable.
This was off of the radar and has flooded us again, but this time with smiles and laughter and tears of joy. A Cat 5 Happy Happy Joy Joy
Might last a while---I sure hope so.

Me Too! I hope it's the Great Renaissance!
Sounds like it's working a lot better for what ailed ya'll than, say,
"take 2 aspirin & call me in the morning"
...although I'll bet there was plenty of that goin' on too this mornin'
(here too---but not so loud!)
