BMW pride is swelling my heart...

I don't know about you folks, but I love looking at the recent magazine racks and seeing a BMW on the cover of nearly every sport bike mag.

The S1000RR is kicking ass and taking names! Look for a strong showing in World Superbike this year.

Now I'd love to see some involvement in MotoGP - maybe some big wheels in Munich could offer Rossi a new ride...

That would be SOOOOO cool!

Absolutely exciting development! Like you, I am bursting with Beemer pride after reading (and buying keepsake copies of) every motomag ride review. This new bike - or perhaps more importantly, this new BMW Motorrad business philosophy - is really big news. I might even forgive them for the R1150** splines misconduct & malfeasance.

For a guy like me whose moto-hopes were recently dashed by Buell's shutdown, this new BMW sparks fresh Alternative Sportbike dreams. My little trackday Buell's going up for sale soon to start an S1000RR fund.

I plan on winning the one the BMWMOA is raffling off, so I'll see you at the track (dusting R1's and 1098's)!

I too was really saddened by Buell's demise - I very nearly bought a 1125CR before I settled on the R12R. A wise choice in hindsight...?

You going to the GP at Laguna Seca this year? Sadly no BMW's in the paddock - yet...

I NEED the S1000RR.

Oh yeah... almost makes me want to forego the comfort of the roadster...
well, not ALL the time...
would be one hell of a backup bike, though!
Beemer riders have been unable to embarass crotch rockets for too long.

So Mrs. Sweatmark hears me ooohing and aaaahing about the S1000RR and asks if I will buy one after selling both Buell and Rockster.... I just can't see myself loading the 600-sized RR up for a week-long road trip. But maybe I just need a change in perspective (and a test ride).

If you return from purchasing a new motorcycle carrying a large bouquet of roses and a gift certificate for a day spa, the result would be improved.

At least that's my theory... you guys should try it out and let me know what happens...

Actually, when I bought my R1200R, I took my wife and bought her an F650GS at the same time... that worked quite well!
