I have a Wunderlich TS screen that came with the bike.

I have been looking at the Wunderlich Trimm screen, which I think I prefer.

Could any of you that own any of these screens give me their pro's and con's as regard to how effective they are. I am 6ft tall and would like the wind blast taken from me on longer journeys.

I would look to sell the TS screen if I was to go for the Trimm screen.

I have a Trimm on my Rock. The fit and finish is very good, with lots of adjustment. I am also 6' and I am not sure it is possible to get rid of all the wind blast however it does away with most of it. I did not have a screen prior to this one and the thing I like the most about it was the way it matched the lines of the bike. If you are looking for fairing type wind reduction you will be disappointed, but if you are hoping to get the windstream higher up, e.g over your helmut it does apretty good job. Be aware that you may hear engine noises that you may not have heard before, and i found that to be the hardest thing to get used to .

I have one as well. At 6'3", the wind blast is sent up to my chin/neck area. I used to use that (and hand guards) to "winterize" my riding experience. I've since moved on to much more effective (and expensive) winterizing treament.

Kidding aside, the Trimm just moved the wind up higher. If your concern is touring, this choice may actually make it worse, as you may be introducing helmet buffeting.

I would use a screen when going over to Europe, trying to save myself on the motorways when traveling further south.

So if the Trimm buffets the head it would not be or me, pity it costs a fair bit or I might have been tempted to buy it and see.

Still might sell my TS screen though.

Funny you should say that - I installed a Trimm last Saturday ... w/o the chance to test it yet.

I am 6'2" and I had some nasty buffeting of the helmet if I tried to duck a bit on the Motorway.
Nasty to the tune of my lid vibrating noticeably and causing headache after awhile.
So I have to straighten back up and slow down.

Of course it might be lid-dependent.

RE: noise - I always wear earplugs w/o exception and a little bit extra will not make any difference to me.
Plus naked bikes are not best known for being quiet

I always wear earplugs, in fact have moulded plugs and couldn't ride a bike without them.

Would be nice to know how you get on with the Trimm, when you get to test it.

First impression - there is some whistling coming from the screen - around 40 mph.

Have not tried faster as my commute is mid-town and can't go faster (can, but won't).

So far the screen is installed kind of in-line with the instrument cluster cover. (in-line in the sense the continuation of the line of the cover looking from the side).
I have approx 1/3 " left on the vertical sliders at the bottom and approx 1" on the horizontal sliders at the back.
Screen has healthy 1/5" gap from the edge of the instrument cluster cover.
Need to experiment a bit with positioning.
