Has anyone noticed the rather large gap where the factory seat snugs up against the gas tank? Seems like a lot of water would drain down onto the battery when washing.
Is there some reason for this ? Thanks.

The gap makes a nice place for my pigtail to come out so I can easily plug in my electric jacket.
Also handy for tucking in rain cover for Russell Day Long saddle.
And, alas, is invariably the place the meter maids leave their calling cards.
