BMW R1200R R1150R/T F800 K1200R R1100R/T R1250R RnineT Message Board

I ordered two "cable guides" that attach to the front whell fender and fork, since the others rotted out. I have a 2004. The only way to feed the cable through the guides is by removing one end. Anyone have a suggestion on which side is easier to remove-- at speedometer or at wheel and if so, how to do this?

I suggest at the wheel, easier to access and remove

Hi, I did replace the the cable guides and remove the cable at the wheel end, it takes no more than 10 minutes.
