Long Cold Winter…

Post by phil »

I am just like most of you, I have a mortgage, bills, work and family obligations, the list is long indeed. For those of you who live where the roads never freeze, today I envy you. My beloved machine is in the solitary confinement of my garage. My driveway is lined on both sides by banks of snow placed there by a snow-blower. Icy patches shine like cancerous lesions all over the roads. I yearn to expel the poisons of the day, wring the neck of the dragons of must dos and the demons of frustration. My leathers hang in a dark closet, my helmet and boots gather dust. I ache to put them on, letting the sun warm the black leather as air passes over it. I want to view the hill towns of western MA and up state New York through a face shield. Nothing on this Earth can straighten my mood like a curvy road…

Phil:

I feel your pain :( . It's another night of -5 to -20 F here in MN! I've been keeping my interest up by reading ride reports and looking for things to make my spring ride more enjoyable. I've got a new Odyssey battery to install along with quick disconnects, and a new pair of Sidi boots are in the mail now. It's gonna be an expensive winter...

Living my 1st 58 years in Manchester CT and then Easton PA, I know that feeling well !!!

Retired to a real life in the South. =D> :smt026

It's very cold now, 29F @ 5:45pm, with no snow yet this winter, but scroll down at this website to look at my weather the coming week:

The cost is lower and the people are nicer. I will NEVER move back!!!
