OK - this is a place to place a favorite photo of a favorite road trip. You know, the type that makes you long for the open road, or an image that transports you instantly into fresh air adventure. Perhaps a single photo that somehow strikes the dominant chord or motif in an orchestra of musical moto moments. Or just slap a good pic up here for the heck of it.

Mrs. Sweatmark and I in the Rockies (2006):

This is one I'll put up as wallpaper on the computer when I get to jonesing for a ride. Early morning in Monterey California. Had ridden up the day before from Los Angeles. It was cold out, quiet except for the sound of the surf, and there were a few people bundled up for a walk along the beach. The breeze off the ocean smelled great. I'd gotten some coffee from a shop up in town and enjoyed the peace before heading down PCH through Big Sur and back into LA.

Sorry... can't do just one picture... how about one theme... Utah, in July, in the middle of nowhere, and hot as hell...

South Dakota last July...on the way back from Gillette. This was just such a cool place to stop and listen to the quiet.

Riding through the rockies

Just a local road, about an hour away. Corner after corner, and all over in 20 minutes.
Very quiet Monday to Friday, but a beehive of motorcycle activity on a warm summers weekend.

I suffer from vertigo, and that one pic made me woozy...

I've been on that cliffside gravel road in Utah. Very interesting. Mrs. ReidMcT did not like it one bit; she was certain we would plummet thousands of feet.

Rain pain. It always works out in the end.
