Home-made B-29 bomber with Bell X-1 Rocket Plane........

This aircraft runs on four Chainsaw motors. You can just imagine how much time, effort, skill and money these guys have put into this thing.

The difference between men and boys is the price of their toys!
Launches another rocket powered glider . . . ejects it's own parachuting pilots . . . very low altitude inverted flight . . . . I was wondering what ELSE was going to happen. 8-[

Even the battery powered starter looked high tech. I bet he spent the $$$ for Sthil or Husqvarna chainsaws.

I used to fly RC planes (props only) for years. It was a lot of fun and expensive. Recently, I went to a RC air show and someone had a A10-A, with two ducted-fans motors. I can tell you that after working on the full scale A10-A for five years, the RC A10-A had every detail as the original.

Thanks for sharing.

A10 Warthog. My all time favorite plane. That would be fun to see the RC version in action.

and I remember the excitement of homemade "bombs" (homemade black powder in a tightly wrapped 35mm cannister) and "Jet-X" engines

but this is at another level
