In my previous post I wrote about oil drops leaking from the Right radiator.

There is a pinhole leak in one of the vetical veins. These veins are made up of plastic.

How do you "solder" them?

I think your best bet would be to pull the oil cooler and take it to a radiator shop and let them repair it. Most good shops have the capability to repair most types of radiators and coolers.

I must have called a bad shop.

A couple of months ago when my cooling system on my truck went bonkers on me, I took off the radiator and phoned a radiator company. They told me they couldn't/didn't check and repair anymore. The radiators of today are throwaways. I had to just buy a new one for $185 from Advance Auto.

You may end up having to do the same thing...Just buy a new cooler for that side. Check the price in Max BMW parts fiche or your local dealer and then order from Chicago BMW for 20% discount. Be prepared to wait several weeks and then phone them to jog their memory or you may never receive it. But the discount is worth it if you can wait.
