High Seat Picture - PLEASE

Post by Mark »

Does anyone have a picture of the R12R with the high seat fitted (BMW's seat not an after-market).

Ziobato - this is a very classy looking bike. The detailing is immaculate.
Thanks for posting the images.

I assume these are both stock standard BMW seats, except for the red strap.
Is the only difference between the 2007 and 2008 high seat in the pillion area?

You seem to have chosen the high seat each time. Are you happy with the BMW comfort?
Are you tall (over 6 foot)?

I had heard comments from some riders that the high seat was too round and bulged in the center for the rider, but this looks great.

You're welcome and thanks for compliments. ;)

You are right, both seats are standard, just red strap has been modified.

Also foam should be different: more soft in order to grant better comfort, but the effort IMHO has been worthless...

I'm 6.16 and not so happy with R1200R seat's comfort: new foam made seat surface more soft and, sometimes, this makes me feel like it's piching my pants and skin... :(
I had heard comments from some riders that the high seat was too round and bulged in the center for the rider.
That's it, but I can easly manage with my standard sunday morning rides that basically are not longer than 155/185 miles - 3/4 hours drive, on tortuos hill roads.

Anyway, if you need more pics, let me know.
