Careful where you get your haircut

So here I was about 5:30 pm, in the barber's' chair, when someone walks in and asks "anyone with a bmw bike parked out there?" Naturally all the blood from my face dropped to my belly.
turns out a gal in a Jeep had backed up into my spot and hit my bike and knocked it down, on the way down the mirror stikes, dents and scratches the front fender of a bmw X5.
Damage looks only cosmetics, rear fender folded under the rear wheel (pulled it back out) few minor things.
Question is, how do I know if the bike has stuctural damage, when she struck the rear licence plate tire area, the bike jolted forward hit curb and then went down. You have to look closely to see damage and frankly I can fix, but again what if on impact something got bent, like front axle, metal fatigue can set in at wrong time and down I go.
If I take the bike to BMW, can they really diagnose? Whats the thing to do here. Fix cosmetic damages myself, or say "look nonone can tell me the extent of damage, and this bike frame can fail at anytime.
I'm at a loss.

thanks,

Gene

Can we assume that a police report was filed and that all necessary insurance carriers have been notified?
I wouldn't take unneccessary chances. I would have a reputable BMW dealer look over the machine and have them determine the extent of the damage and then proceed accordingly.

Wayne's advise is good. And he has more experience at accident reports than most of us! (Sorry Wayne, couldn't resist)

Doesn't sound like it was a frame-damaging impact but couldn't hurt to have someone look at it.

As for haircuts, what little I have left is cut in my bathroom! :P
