Board Member to the rescue on Ride to Work Day

So I run out of gas at one of the worst possible spots. Local NJ riders may know the 287 South exit ramp for 80 West. Cagers are roaring past inches from me, and I'm trying to figure out what to do next. I guess it's as good a day as any for this to happen. Wouldn't you know it, a fellow 50R rider stops to help, in the shoulder just past the exit.
He risks his life to run across the exit lane to see how I'm doing. Then runs back and watches over me as I push my bike to a safer area of the highway. And offers to give me a ride to get gasoline. Even takes off his helmet like a gentleman (unlike the rude reprobate I am). I check out the pretty blue boxer, notice the fantastic (and somewhat familiar) farkling job that's been done.
I ask and sure enough, it's rdsmith3.
A DOT truck showed up and had some fuel, and the driver was helpful. Rdsmith3 stuck around to make sure all was well. Another awesome example of the quality folks that keep this board humming.
Bob, I can't thank you enough! I can only hope that I am able to pass that good karma back to you or someone else someday.
Or at least buy you some drinks at the next Bash.
