Hope someone can help. I need to remove my gas tank. I had my bike serviced yesterday, EWS ring, brake line, software update. When I got home I noticed that I'm getting a rubbing sound from under the tank when I twist the throttle. My guess is since the tank had to be removed to do the service that the tech somehow pinched or did something to the throttle cable. I can't get the bike back to the dealer untill next week so I'd like to at least try and see what's going on, the sound is coming from under the tank. Does anyone have the factory cd that shows the correct routing of the throttle cable and has directions to correctly remove the tank? I'm also going to call the dealer and bitch.

There is a plastic plate on the inside of the throttle body spring housing that I imagine is there to keep stones from getting stuck in the spring. It was rubbing against the spring housing so that when one opens and closes the throttle it made a rubbing sound.

Ha! FWIW none of the work they did caused my problem.. Only drag is it took about 5 hours to do all the work, and I had no choice but to wait for it. But they did do everything correctly and didn't F-up the bike in any way I can see..

I figured that. I have some friends picking me up for breakfast.. and then lunch.. and by then hopefully they'll be near done. I'm supposed to shop for new boots while I'm there (orders from the warden..)
