Added it to the auxiliary lights. Now a quick two flash of the lights opens or closes my garage door. Also added a transmitter to my M3 - which lacked a built in garage door opener.

Works quite well.. will post one or two pics when I have a chance.

List price is $79 for the basic kit (receiver and one transmitter) - extra transmitter is $34. I got'da'deal.. $100 delivered for 2 transmitters and one receiver. Works great.

The transmitter is the square black box right next to the starter relay (below the preload adjuster..) Small enough to tuck inside the headlight shell probably if you wanted to tie it to the high-beam.

...how are all these gadgets held onto a bike....double sided tape, velcro, dirlling holes and screwing it down?
also, what if you ride in the rain and some water gets under the seat?
just curious....thx.

Tie-wraps mostly. The fusebox is screwed to the fender. I don't get a lot of rain under the seat since I have a hugger - which keeps the stuff thrown off the rear wheel out, and the seat wraps over the top joints so rain tends to just run off. I get more dust there than anything..

They had this for earlier BMW's also.. the downside is - it requires your remote and modifying your remote.. and like most remotes, mine has a battery in it that I forget to change. Nice part on the one I got - it's powered right off the bike. No battery to go bad, and I can save my remote for SWMBO..
