Renewed confidence in BMW!!

I was in St. Louis this weekend visiting my brother and we went to Albert Pujols' Bar in the Westport area, where I saw a R1150R (my first sighting of one other than mine) so I peeked at the milage, and saw that this bike had over 72,000 miles on it! All this talk about clutch spline failure and dealing with my bikes breakdown on the side of the road less than a month after I bought it had me really considering cutting my losses and getting something else. But seeing that bike, which was in very good condition, sitting there with 72,000 + miles really made me realized that my 17,000 is nothing. I think I'm going to ride to the Moto GP race in Indy this year, and if all goes well on that trip, I don't think I'll ever get rid of it. You all probably don't care, but thanks for listening anyway!!
So who here has the most miles on their R as of now??

Had an 03 with 42,000 when I totaled it in an accident 6 months ago. Have 19,000 on an 04 now. Had 17K when I bought it in Dec.
No problems with either one.

My '04 Rockster has almost 13,000 miles on it, but that's only because I ride my '99 Cruiser more often. I've logged nearly 75,000 miles on it, having recently replaced the bearings on the rear drive. I'm not sure if that was a common failure, but one rider's opinion is that it shouldn't happen at all.
I've ridden Beemers since '83 and my confidence has not waned, especially since I ride solo and through remote locations. Maybe if I were of a crowd mentality that I can take my chances with lesser bikes and have the company of fellow riders to bail me out. Then we can dine on meat tartare with bottles of beer to wash it down, proudly belching while sharing some BS stories of glory days gone by.
(but I still carry my cellphone and water, just in case).

Rockster 1 had around 800 miles on it when written off.
Rockster 2 had 42,000+ on it when it was written off.
Rockster 3 has 42,000+ on it at present.
I've only been riding them 4 years!
I HAVE had some issues with 2 & 3 - I won't pretend they've been utterly perfect, have stripped 1 set of gearbox splines, had the clutch slave cylinder fall out of alignment, and a couple of rear shocks fail, but those (IIRC) are the only times I've not been able to use the bike.

I know of two with over 200,000km (120,000 miles). One is an R1150GS and the other is an R1150RS. The R1150R is the same platform and there's no reason that it won't do big numbers on the odometer. Keep the faith.
