Just watched the new one. I liked it. A lot.

Saw the last part of the original with some buddies a couple of weekends ago so I knew the gist of things.

All of the close up camera work put you right in the movie. I'll bet it looks great on these new wide screen televisions.

Anyone else enjoy this movie?

I prefer the original version. Yes, I am old.

We saw it a few weeks ago and have seen pieces of the old version (including the referred to weekend! ), and the ending of both. I like the newer one better, if nothing else, the 'feel' is more authentic. I think Russell Crowe does a better job than Glenn Ford, even though I am a big Glenn Ford fan and think they did a better job of showing the 'bonding' between the two with the new one.

I do like the ending a little better on the old one though. But it wasn't as bloody!

Saw it and liked it. I really liked Ben Foster as Charlie Prince. He's a crazy lookin'/actin' bad guy. He also was a great bad-guy in Alpha Dog.

I enjoyed the 3:10 to Yuma and if you haven't seen "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford" I highly recommend it. Gorgeous cinematography and, despite the awkward name of the film, something you shouldn't miss if you like westerns. A really moody, conflicted film full of great characters. Brad Pitt does an excellent job playing Jesse James.

How about the orig. with James Coburn and Kris K.? OK, I am showing my age.

I haven't seen this Yuma movie yet, looking forward to it. I have, however, seen Christian Bale in another film. Anybody here seen "American Psycho" ? Rent it. It's great.

OOOh! Now I'll show my age. That was NOT the original. The original starred Tyrone Power as Jesse and a very young Henry Fonda as Frank.
I saw the new 3:10 to Yuma about a week ago. I really enjoyed it. I've only seen snippets of the original with Glen Ford and that other guy. I can never remember his name.

I have seen American Psycho (HBO a few years back). I recognized him right off an for a while watching the movie had a hard time picturing him in his Dan Character.

I sort of would like to talk about the endings of the two versions but I don't want to spoil it for anyone.

I agree with you about Ben Foster. IMO he was the only good character in the movie. Maybe I need to watch it again but I really thought the movie sucked; the ending was terrible. To much time trying to make Russel Crowe look good/cool and not enough story depth. I was disappointed, cause I really love westerns.
