BMW R1200R R1150R/T F800 K1200R R1100R/T R1250R RnineT Message Board

If you have taken a decent picture that is R1200R related, and you wouild like it considered for the POW, please send a high quality version of it via email to me. I need more R1200R POWs!

For those who dont know, a POW is a picture of the week - the picture that we have on the home page. Although, I cant remember the last time I changed it weekly, monthly would be more accurate, but POM just doesnt have the same ring to it.

The bike in your left is a BMW 1978 r1000, 30 years apart technologically speaking.... simply she is my bike´s r1200r grandma...

Oh, thats weird. on my screen there is an emai icon next to the PM icon. I will look into this, it must be a setting somewhere.

Plan to do some riding there this summer. Loved the riding in the area.

Local story..

When we pulled over for lunch, there was what appeared to be a local unemployed person sitting on the brick wall in front of the museum, right where we parked. He came over and chatted us up a bit.. noted the bikes were BMW's and we were from NJ.. then ambled off down the street while we took our gear off.

We then walked down the street a bit to the cafe in town - there were a few police cars outside so we figured the food was good or cheap or both (it was both..) As we entered one of the LEO's was heading out to his car.. He said "Hi! You're the guys from NJ on the BMWs?".. we responded "Yes.."

We got into the cafe, were shown to a seat, and the waitress said "You boys aren't from around here.." (really!) - "you're from NJ right?" - and again, we responded yes. Everyone in the cafe sorta nodded..

As we were checking out after eating, a chap came up to us and said "I'm originally from NJ.." I asked him how long he'd lived there.. He said "30 years.." - I asked "Do they still comment You're not from around here?" - He said "Yeah - I hear it all the time.."

If I had to guess - you have to be born there to be from around there.. NTTAWWT, our town in NJ is sorta the same way..

I also can't seem to find the email button.
(Until about 20 sec. ago and a flicker on my screen, i also didn't see the "Quote" button, but it magically appeared - weird.)
