1.) That old round water tower that we're all looking at was built in 1923 and is touted as being the only water tower in the state, possibly the universe, that is still used, but as a restaurant at the base!
2.) The capture sight of Jefferson Davis is also the sight (marked with a plaque) where the last Union soldier was killed in the war. One of his own men killed him as they were so excited to be capturing Jeff Davis. Just like a damn Yankee.
