fuel gauge/light issue

hi all,

On my way to work this morn, i hit a large size divit, after that, my fuel gauge is reading zero and the fuel light came on and remained on. my pulled over and shut the bike down and restarted with the same symptoms.

bike rides fine and instrument panel functions other wise... (i thought it felt a little rougher... but it could be just me with my thinner summer gloves)

does anyone know what it is involved to diagnose this? obviously, bike is under warranty so i can always take it in. it is just a hassle to do so that's all

thanks

Aside from checking for obviously loose connectors under the tank.. I think you're in for a visit to the dealer. Could be the sensing strip came disconnected inside the tank..

sorry, are we talking about "any" loose connectors or is there a specific one i should be looking for?

thanks

ok,

anyone knows how to take the tank off the bike? looks like it is very tight under the tank. i would need to take the tank off or at least lift it a little to have a proper look.

thanks
