Up the Creek

We had a few hours to spare so Captain Mike and I decided to take the Whaler and spend a little time trolling the creeks that lead into the Tomoka River (north of Daytona).

Captain Mike trolling.

Most of the waterway is designated as Manatee Zones, so slow, no wake speeds are mandated. One of the park rangers lives on the creek and has been known to write down your boat registration number, then drive to your house to give you a ticket.

Only catch of the afternoon, an undersized trout.

Only a few other boaters on the water.

Sentinel of the marshland.

Captain Mike and deck hand jb.

Not much fishing action this afternoon, but still an enjoyable time on the water.
