Well the snow birds have returned to Florida............With that comes the traditional Florida lane change, i.e., no signal, no look, and did I say motorcycles don't belong here attitude. Defensive driving skills are a must.
My questions is, has anyone installed the Stebel Compact Airhorn on an R12R? Can you provide some mounting bracket details, and lastly, I have installed "motolights", and will be running the Zumo 550 wired direct to the connector and have have wired a hot lead for the tank bag. With the horn, am I pushing the outer limits of the R12R's electrical system?
thanks

My reference to wired direct pertains to the Garmin Zumo 550.

I'm told that BMW has a connector specific for the BMW Motorrad (Garmin GPS). I will be connecting the 550 to it, once I determine which mounting device works best.

Garmin connection to bike
After having been told that the BMW/Garmin wiring harness was something like $180.00, and me asking the service guy what he/they were smoking, I went with the BMW "Repair Connector" Part Number 83300413585. Cost was $37.40 plus tax.
This connector matches the factory GPS accessory socket connector zip tied to the right down tube. I soldered the Garmin harness into that, and saved a whole bunch of money.
