Should I join BMWMOA?

I use to be a member of BMWMOA years ago when I got my first BMW, a new Red 1984 K75RT. I guess a lot has changed since then. Do you think it's worth joining again? Winter is coming fast and I won't be riding till spring

. So maybe it's worth it just to get the magazine?

I joined MOA last year and will keep my membership up. There are a lot more people on the MOA board close to my area. But I still go to the R1150R board first. The MOA board feels a little clique'y to me. That's probably just me, it takes me a long while to feel like I fit in.
I've posted on MOA and more or less been ignored, making me feel even more out of place. But I'll keep my membership up for the rallies, books, and other items.
R1150R = home to me!

I have just recently joined thanks to a B-day present from Dad. The mag is very nice and I just found out about the forum and have never posted. I like this site too much I guess. I will renew next year.

The mag (Owner's News) is pretty good, as club publications go, the forum is fair (lots of griping about the national rally), but perhaps the best benefit of the MOA is the Anonymous Book. I've never had to use it, but I carry it with me always. Last year on a long road trip, I was going through some rather desolate country, the nearest BMW dealer would have been hundres of miles away, the nearest bike shop of any sort or brand would've been hours and hours away, so I perused the Anonymous Book ahead of time and identified some likely prospects in little towns along my route, just in case I might need them. The magazine always seems to publish letters from members who have used the book and have been helped or rescued by other members listed in the book.
