Has anyone had their seat rebuilt using a company called Kontour ?kontourseat.com

Never heard of them. I am going with a Russel Day Long, if my just ordered AirHawk pad doesn't solve the problem.

Looking at Kountour's site, I notice that the pressure diagram they use is very similar if not the same as the one used to illustrate the Russel. If you add the passenger seat option, the price is about the same, too. Kountour's concept seems sound, although your hesitation about being a pioneer for a product this expensive is sensible.

They look sort of interesting. I haven't seen anyone else who uses what's basically a woven fabric cover on their seats - but the reasoning behind it is good (air circulation) - also they are using a visco-foam layer - which other seat makers haven't really adopted.

Give it a try and tell us how it works out. Hopefully it could be done and not look hideous..
