I was hoping to see more information on exhaust systems and or slip ons on this list. It seems like many folks don't mind riding a bike that sounds like a sewing machine and I'll admit that sometimes the complete lack of exhaust noise is relaxing, But I really would like my bike to sound like a motorcycle.
I recently was talking to a rider (from this list) that had a Remus Gran Prix muffler that sounded just right on his bike. I wonder if the Revolution (Remus) without the baffle would sound the same.

Please, my intent is not to start a Loud Pipes Save Lives - vs - Loud Pipes Lose rights thread. Some of us like a motorcycle to sound like it has a motor in it.
Again I use the word sound not noise.

I dont want excesively loud bike either, but I like to tune my bikes to thair full potential, one, and second loosing 20 or so lbs makes things so much better.

I guess when it comes to this style of bike and price it attracts mostely people that buy things for what they are. Nothing wrong with that and the bike is excelent as it is, wish I was bit more practical at times as it wouldnt cost me as much money.

But beeing primeraly into sport bikes and track riding, I like my street ride to be fully tuned (motor and suspension) also. Once you experiance properly tuned motor and suspencion It becomes very dificult to live with stock stuff on anything.

Hope theres few guys out there width different systems so we can get some feedback.

I installed a Remus powercone full exhaust a couple weeks ago and I'm happy with it. The system adds more performance and isn't overly loud either. Make sure to get a K & N air filter if you want to get the most out of your system. The header doesn't come with head gasket seals which run about ten bucks. With out them your sure to have an exhaust leak.
Fit and finish is good and it looks and is much lighter.

I also have the Remus Power Cone System.

very nice, not too loud. (but then I am coming off an Aprilia Falco with Leo Vince Hi-Mounts and a honk'n airbox

Hey Salub, did you find you needed to mess with the fuelling? Are you running it with the "dB killer" in or out?

BMW put it on for me and the restrictor is out. Sounds great too!

Wow, that is one GREAT looking system. I want one NOW!

I cant belive It's only a 3.5 kilo saving on the whole system. This is the thing that I dont like about Staintune, thair construction in stainles canisters is still to heavy.

Is there anyone else making a full system with light Ti or alluminium oval canister? Should be able to save 5 kilos of the can alone.

I think you can get them in the US I have seen one on a K1200RS. I don't know how much weight saving there is but when they put the system on my bike I was going for a trip to Adelaide from Briagolong (1000km one way) and I had both side cases and top box loaded which made my back wheel touch the ground whilst on the center stand. But with the new system on the back wheel stayed off the ground so the balance was in my favor. The muffler is a lot thiner because its oval shaped and yes they are made well.

Remus and Leo Vince. But the styling is a matter of taste on the former, and I'm not sure panniers will fit on the latter.

I have held the std can and the Akrapovic can in my hands. Std is only about 1 to 1.5kg more. (Of course the Akrapovic is heavy - much heavier than Akrapovic's GS1200 can (which doesn't fit the R)).

If you really don't want the S/S can, you can order the Staintune system just to the muffler joint. Any can that fits the std headers will fit right on.

So basicaly if I get the headers alone, I should be able to mount any other canister to it. This is great as it alows many more choices.
