Continental road attack's

Fitted the road attacks to the 'R' 3 weeks ago.... how on earth had I manage up until now?
I've done the tight and twisties wet and dry and I've never felt so secure before.
These are gonna take some beating.
Anyone else tried them?

Fantastic tire for back road scratching and commuting. Sticks well and has an outstanding profile that leans in easily. Very quick turn in but still tracks well on straights. Positive and confidence inspiring in the wet.
They are sensitive to tire pressure. Don't remember what worked for me but remember adjusting them a lot on a long trip. Sustained high speed running with a medium load (solo + medium weighted system cases) had the rubber pilling even with higher pressures (40-42psi cold on the rear). And i'm a lightweight at 150lbs.
Barely got 5K miles out of the rear. Would definitely do them again but not for a long trip. Besides I like experimenting with different tires.
All in all they definitely work well and feel great on the R.

Put a set of these on my bike 2 months ago. I have just over 5k kms on them and I'm very happy with them.
I do notice a more pronounced turn-in, and I think these tires transmit road surface details a little more than the other tires I've had. Took a little time to get used to the turn-in response, but so far I think these tires are great.
I've heard that they are best run at a little higher tire pressure. Right now I run them at F36/R39. I may bump the rear to 40 and see how they perform/wear.

We like the Sport Attacks too. Mileage is not a problem for us as we got 6500 miles out of the first set. Pretty good we thought for that kind of tire.

I fitted them last April!
WOW!
I don´t think I´m gonna replace them by another brand.
The only thing I will change the next time is the front tire...
After 10000km's they are cupped but I don´t feel it like the cupping of the BT´s.
So the next fronttire will be the Sportattack front and rear the Roadattack.
The profile of the Roadattack is deeper than the Sportattack and provides thesame grip.

I prefer Strada's, the Road Attacks don't last long enough.

We have to replace a Sport Attack rear tomorrow as the current one has a 5/16 inch perfectly round hole in the tread all the way down to the cords. Weirdest road hazard we have ever seen. Looks like we ran down a bullet casing that cored the tire. We consider ourselves lucky to have not popped the tire when whatever happened, happened. Sturdy tire !
