I'm looking for a chin spoiler that fits the 1150r someone on this site has one on a yellow 1150r, and I cannot find one, I'm also trying to find some soft bags that fit the bike without lowering the exhaust, I would appreciate any help you can give thank you.

That's a Wunderlich "Bugspoiler". (google Wunderlich for your nearest dealer) But it's normally called something else... (uurgh brain no workee)

I believe the more common term is 'Belly Pan'

My honest advise is that you bite the bullet and invest in the system cases. Yes they are significantly more costly than soft bags (though you can save 20% by purchasing from Chicago BMW) but they are really worth it. They are durable, waterproof, robust and fairly roomy. Also more convenient to mount/dismount than soft luggage. I don't know what the chin spoiler/belly pan you're looking at costs, but I'd say take the money you were planning on spending on that purely cosmetic mod and apply it to getting system cases.
If you're really sold on soft luggage, I've seen these used on VFR, so I think they'd work with the upswept pipe on the R.

You can also use the belly-pan that comes on the BoxerCup R1100S..(I think)

Be careful..You may loose the center stand with some of them..You don't want that.

Forget the soft bags..get genuine BMW hard cases..second hand ones shouldn't cost that much...and they're heaps better than soft bags..IMO

One option for soft bags are the Aero Pack rigs made by Ventura. I had a set on my Triumph Sprint (see blog.places2ride.com) and can't say enough good things about them.

Holds tons of stuff, very versatile, great backrest for rider or passenger, very well made, yada yada.

The one drawback for using them on the R is they mount on the same points as the saddle bags rails. So unfortunately you can't have both. That's the only reason my bike doesn't already have a set!

I agree with Challey 100%. BMW System Bags are the best I've ever seen. They are waterproof, easy on/off, light weight and attractive. I bought a Chicane top bag several weeks after buying my bike and have used it exactly once after buying the bags a couple of months later.

I just can't praise the BMW bags enough but I personally have no interest in a belly pan. I would hate to mess with the thing to change oil and losing the center stand would be unthinkable. I had a Harley for years before the Roadster and went through the dress-up, cosmetic add-on thing. The BMW motorcycles are so precise and so functional that I just couldn't bear to add something just for looks. That's just me, though.
