Nothing to complain about!

I finally got an opportunity to take my new crystal grey R1200R out for a hundred mile ride today. And all I can say is I'm happy as can be. Usually, I'll find something to pick at. But I've got zilch, zero, nada. Now I may need to preface these glowing comments with an acknowledgement that I made a few upgrades before I ever put a mile on the bike. Yes, it has the tall seat with the extra padding, so my bum didn't get sore. Yes, I added the Suburban Machinery peg lowering kit. I'm 6'4" for pete's sake. I knew I needed all the help I could get. And finally, I added the Remus Powercone full exhaust system, so the bike is even lighter and has a good tone to it.
Another thing I noticed is that this bike seems to harken to the latter days of BMW when you could actually work on your own bike. The battery is under the seat as it should be. The shocks look accessible should I decide to change them. Wheels are easily removed. Maintenance items easily accessible, etc, etc. Well done, BMW!
I've had plenty of BMW bikes in my days. From a '78 R100S to other S's to GS's to RT's. It's still too early to tell for sure, but my early impression is that this could be the best yet. My hope is "Chrystal" will be rock solid reliable and one bike I can keep for the long haul. She really feels right!
