Barback again!

Hello all,
Planning to install a barback on my 02 R1150R. I am confronted with different types with huge difference in the price. The question is: does the price justify the quality?
Does it cause any problem with the magnetic tank bag and the holder of the GPS?
Any advice will be highly appreciated.

Not sure why the big difference in price. I went for the low cost mototechniques brand. I'm very satisfied with them. There was no interference with my tank bag, can't imagine any with a GPS mount either. As an added benefit, I clipped off the plastic tie-wraps that held the cables to the handlebars. Then I simply re-tied them in bundles with the clutch and brake lines - the look is much cleaner and symmetric.
My guess is some of the more expensive brands are more exotically machined, with more curvy surfaces - the moto's are a bit blockier, but they blend OK with the existing hardware.
They were a cinch to put on - took all of 5 minutes.

I agree on the Mototechniques barbacks. I've been very pleased with mine. I just put on a Parabellum Scout faring and was able to retain the MT barbacks--a good thing!

There is a trick with the 01 and 02 Rs and Mototechniques risers. Some of the early Rs had different levels machined into the bar bases. The risers will fit with a 'gap' on one side if they are the wrong ones. I recall their site explains all, so you need to check if your R has a 'flat' base versus a slightly 'stepped' base.

Agree with the MT barbacks. Seem to be well made and almost too easy to install. No problems with my GPS (see picture). Again, pay attention to the flat vs stepped mounts.

Got a pair of very slightly used Verholen barbacks, here, last month. Easy to put on. Great improvement. Changed my riding posture for improved comfort. And while the bar ends can come into contact with the Marsee corona bag, it is not enough to make a difference...and then, only when the bike is on the side stand.
