I have 15k more than I previously estimated (the power of prayer !).
I have $15,000 less than I previously estimated (before falling off roof), seemingly no answers to my prayers (go figure!), no benefits or disability, a back that hasn't worked in over a month, an oddly healed collarbone.... You hiring?
It's all about risk vs. reward. And I will still say, "it's worth it". Congratulations.
UDATE...after one month I'm getting a lot of repairs done at my office building and have successfully raised the rent on everyone ! Ha !!!
On the home building front I have two possibilities on lots to build on. I made counter offers and am awaiting an answer. I also have the possibility of two pre-sales.
I'm seeing a finacial planner who is getting all my retirment/investment ducks in a row. Pulling together all my stuff..so to speak.
I managed to get Blue Cross Blue Shield health/medical insurance for my daughter and I at a much lower rate than I predicted; only 390/mo.
I've been reading everything I can get my hands on concerning small business operations, investments, and taxes. I hope to take you guys advise and hire a tax accountant once I actually have a home building project coming out of the ground. All this research has already paid off when I sought out the finacial planner.
The important part is, although I'm still nervous about all this, I am much MUCH happier than before.
