Frey Daytona seem to have a good reputation, and if you are in Germany, they should be fairly easy to find:

My favorite boots (I am on my second pair) are my Daytona Goretex boots; back-up favorites are my BMW Goretex boots...BMW boots are quite toasty on rainy Oregon winter days (hmmm...which really aren't as wintery as it gets)...
Boots with a lift

I have no problems on the Roadster as I am completely flat footed knees bent but on my CBR600RR, the seat height is about 32.5 inches and not to mention my KLX is 35 inches...
Daytona M Star GTX give a 2.5cm lift. They're the Men's version of the Lady Star. I've been looking at the M's as I face the same vertical challenge as you ... but the largest size they make in these is 43=UK9=US10. Presumably because if you have any bigger feet than this, you have the legs to go with them.

Update: Finally picked up a pair of Stitch CBT Lites.
Really nice boots, but man are they stiff.
Been wearing them around work for a few days waiting for the snow & ice to disappear.
For all of you experienced users out there, how hot are they in the summer?

I have no experience with any other brands but SIDI and my army boots.
Many years ago I have purchased SIDI Champion and was very happy with them.
My next pair of riding boots (about 8-9 years ago) was SIDI On Road, the best boots I ever had.
A whale back I was looking for a pair of riding boots for my son and found out that some of the SIDI models are outsourced to Romania.
I have nothing against Romania, but I prefer that product should be made in the country of origin.
My son got On Road (made it Italy) and he is very happy with them. Sometimes he wears them all day long on his job with no problems.
I've heard that riding boots are NOT made for walking.

On the contrary, I can walk with On Road all day very comfortably.
There are many good branded products on the market today, but you can not go wrong with SIDI and especially with "ON ROAD"
Good Luck.

I purchased a pair of SIDI Way Rain boots about six months ago. They look nice and are very comfortable. BUT, after about two months, the toe-shifter area has worn through. For motorcycle related boots this is unacceptable. They also do not breath that great because after a long day they smell horrible. (I don't have this problem with my other boots.)
I'm in the process of trying to return them (bought online) and will give them a second chance.

Daytona M STAR GTX I wear them all day, comfortable to walk in. Not cheap. Highly recommended by me.

I have an Oxtar Matrix and an Alpinestars Effex. I tend to put on the Oxtar more often than the later, at the ratio of 20:1

My BMW Goretex boots are still going strong. But I think that I need to get another pair. They are so old I can't remember when I purchased them.

Since this old thread was revived, I will chime in. Sidi On Roads were my last pair and gave faithful service for several years. Without a doubt, one of the most comfortable motorcycle boots you can get.
However, I wanted a little more armor protection this time around and when with the TCX (formerly Oxtar) Infinities. More armor on the ankle, shin and heel than the On Roads. Comfortable after breakin and waterproof so far, though nowhere near the sneaker-level comfort of the On Road boots.

They are pretty hot, but wearing appropriate socks makes all the difference. I like
these in the crew length for summer.

Been happy for 10 years with my Altberg Clubman boots, from the factory in Richmond, North Yorkshire. My BIL and sister have also got pairs. Not elegant but warm and comfortable.
Wore them today in persistent rain after a quick polish and spray with a water proofer to keep the leather drier. The Goretex lining has always kept my feet dry.

TCX Street, looks like a sneaker & wears like houseslippers. Very comfy, not very waterproof. And low TCX gore-tex boots.
My favorite boots by far are Gerba dutch police boots. Worn by the police- & to some extend the military force before switching over to Oxtar:
Can hardly find them anymore. Where for sale occasianally when a small batch went on the market through a seller, and sometimes and a yearly bike fair.

Update; the Combat lites are sweet, have 70,000 plus miles on my first pair, and would buy again if they disappeared. Break in is a little PITA, eyelets are steel vs brass & fabric gusset wears out / delaminates, but overall these things seem incomparable to other popular brands / styles. Being able to resole them is a big plus, have had these redone 1x by local cobbler, mostly because of wear from the GSA foot peg on the shifter side.

My favorite boot that leaves all the others in the closet is the Harley Davidson Riddick. Quick, comfy, well made, versatile.

I absolutely hate wearing boots. Makes me feel disconnected from the bike. If it was safe to ride in flip flops, I would LOL. its a fine line. SO when I found these, I was happy. They feel like regular shoes, but have tons of padding, and are waterproof. Mega comfortable. MY wifey bought them for me

I'm still wearing the BMW Goretex Boots, and I have another pair of BMW boots to complement them. My feet have been wet one time while wearing them, and that is because the water ran down my leg to the inside of the boots. I am at less than a buck/ thousand miles ridden in them.
