Be grateful Mike,
that you aren't one of those fools wearing a nazi bowl for a helmet. YOUR helmet is cool though, eyes forward and eyes behind.... unless you're wearing that Black full-face with the Black tinted shield, and your Black Kenya w/Black vest, on your Black RT.
YO, whas up brotha? I didn't realize you was sooo Black!?!?!

Okay, okay...... though mine may not be cereal bowl, I DO have a half helmet, some chrome (Italian & American), and I have been known to sport some loud pipes; BUT never at the expense of my machine's performance!!!

I want to clear some misconceptions........

To Roxrider......pay the $20 for the annual membership or the $60 for the lifetime and I assure you that the responses to your post(s) will be more accomodating. You might even get one to invite you over for dinner.

lots of GS's around here with Two Brother's cans that sound like a series of wet farts going by.....
Bob, a man of your stature should very well know that a boxer engine, 180 degres firing, will never sound like a V-Twin and yes it is unfortunate that the sound is not entirely pleasing, irregardless of the can you use.

Regarding riders
Irregardless of what you ride there are going to be good and bad riders, decent and arse holds. A bad apple usually is bnlamed for spoiling the bunch.

Regarding HD as a motorcycle
From the engineering standpoint a HD has the sophistication of a farm tractor and the reason why they sell is that owning a HD amkes you a bad boy and lord knows we have fascination with bad boys. I don't rightly know how this applies to Yong and Pat, which are obviopusly already bad, without the status symbol.

To Yong and the 5hr IQ Test
Here are the results:

After 5 hours on the HD, the "package" would have gone to sleep and you will have to bang it against the bathroom door to wake them up.

After 5 hours on the R1150R you would want to strech your kegs and freshen up, then hop on for another 5 hours.

After 5 hours on the SV650, the experience would have been pleasant but you would be the proud owner of a cucaracha butt, pointy and sore....just kiddin' buddy.

Regarding politics
Since I'm apoloiical and have never understood right from left I can best equate with:

Right - Left
Half full - Half Empty
North - South
Black - White

It all boils down to the criteria you use to evaluate a set of circumstances. The politicos have been very smart and coniving in pairing down the choices to two as a means to reduce competition.

I truly believe the following:

You will have my respect until you prove unworthy
Your word is good enough for me
If I say I will be there I will, if not, I'm dead.
The priorities in my life are a supreme being, family and work, in that order.
I will advise you but won't tell you what to do that is entirely your decission
As an adult you are responsible and accountable for your actions
Black and white eliminate misunderstandings a bit of grey is necesary because we can't generalize.
Logic and common sense should prevail, the bells and whistles come later.
Knowledge is power, the rest costs money
If you need help I will help you but don't abuse my kindness

Ooops, how did this come about, WOW, time to go to bed........say good night Gracie.

Cam - You missed a certain somebody with a bee in his bonnet. Oops maybe you didn't.

BTW, I think a Staintune sounds okay on a boxer.

I thought Al's pipes sounded nice as well during the East Coast Bash back in April. Of course, it's not quite as nice sounding as my Dyna Glide, but it ain't bad for a BMW

Just got back from a ride on my Roadster. Ah, she's still my favorite in the stable.

last advanced msf course i went to had one beemer (me), and about a dozen harleys-only one guy tipped his bike (me) and all the riders were courteous, helpful, and didn't have anything to say bout my inglorious laydown but "been there, done that, don't worry about it"

I, too, took the advanced class with all Harley riders. Most of them had the full dressers and one had a fully decked Screamin Eagle Electra Glide something or other.

=P~

One, older guy, tipped over during the mid-corner emergency braking and we all helped him up. I was definitely one of the least-good ( ) riders there. The guy with the Screamin Eagle was just sick. He was doing the boxed double U turns in half the required space and the emergency lane change like nothing. For how big and heavy his bike was and the lack of riding gear he usually uses, he was a heck of a motorcyclist and would probably show a number of "superior" BMW riders a thing or two. On top of that he was one of the most polite and well spoken individuals I have ever had the pleasure to meet.

A large proportion of "yard apes" do ride Harley's, but it is very small minded to think that all Harley riders are "yard apes". Shame on you.

 Rox:

Lesson up, baby:

Lesson up, baby:

You're not gettin' it. Having blinders on blocks your view of the road -- the motorcycle road and the life road. people are simply asking you to avoid generalizations and name-calling.

Yep we should strip search a boy scout and let a bunch of arabs pass through security and board the plane. Do you have any idea of how many arabs won million dollar settlements
because of racial profiling after 9-11.

GJBushman
Rox, you're excused as a guest for not knowing that a good majority of 1150R board members actually stand to the right quite proudly. Also, as Pat has pointed out, you don't need to be a liberal to be a bed wetter. I'm not sure you have offended anyone, maybe scared us a little. Perhaps you should find a more "age appropriate" web board where your anger might be better understood.

I don’t have any anger. I just am not afraid to admit the truth. Look at a problem, define it and deal with it. Its part of being a man.

How many and how much?

The rox-meister must be laughing his arse off at all this. To me it seems this person is just having some fun at the boards expense. He has hit just about every button (except oil) that elicits a response. I must admit I have read this thread from the beginning but now I'm done with it.
Enjoy Roxy - ya had me going - for a while.

Let's see if I understand this. Bad mouthing Harley riders is "part of being a man"? I would suggest that our guest not try to make a man of himself at the Riders' Roost at Ferguson, NC.

Roxrider,

Chill.

Don't expect to come here and make statements and not have support them. Not sure what arabs at an airport have to do with Harley riders but youere taking this thread somewhere it doesn't need to go.

Be nice guys.
