Managed to get my bike into the lower edges of the Redline recently around 135 again - not quite hitting the limiter.

That's with no luggage, no chip, a Remus Y-piece, and the OE can/muffler.

Not very brave here. 105 mph on my RR during the first week I had it. Since then I've hit 90+ a lot of times when getting around traffic, and I often cruise at 80-85. But I haven't hit 100 again.

I have an '04 R1150R and this summer I was on trip with the cases loaded and a backpack strapped on the rear seat. The bike has the touring shield and I took it up to about 103mph with little effort and decided to shut it down before an Indiana state police noticed  !
I weigh 180 lbs.

REALISTIC

Post by elmosisu »

About 6 times this year I had a chance to wring it out to an indicated 125mph. I felt if I had another mile or two I could see near 130. I think that actual 118mph is about it. remember , our speedo's show "fast" by near 8-10%

6'2 and bigger than you!
