For sure he was trying to sell me those HD kit... but I didn't order anything... I am even think about return the low beam H11 kit I ordered last week.

And because of your help Don on this forum conversation I might just select the best bulbs possible to replace my stock headlights bulb and buy 2 of these great and affordable hella's lamp with 2 excellent bulbs even if pricey.

PS: They already use these LED lightnings in photography lightning tools.

These guys are making headlamps $$$ for climbing/caving/SAR etc. utilizing LEDs and putting out 1500 lumens which is kind of a lot to have on your forehead. This would tend to support the point that this technology is coming our way. There are LED moto systems now available but they don't seem practical for on-road use. Another plus for LEDs is that the power level and light output can be varied unlike HIDs and they have "instant on".

Can't say for sure - photo isn't big enough.. The upper ones look like FF50's. The ones in the wheel recess look like PIAA or some knock-off-crap. I'd be a tad concerned about the front fender hitting the ones in the recess when the front suspension compresses with the bars turned.

Referring to your previous message about LED lightning and a radical alternative to the whole HID trend I was thinking using a combination of really good Halogen bulbs in the Hella's then maybe but not sure I'll install the H11 futurvisionhid "HD" kit in the low beam. (The "HD" model with which futurvisionhid is preparing to replace their entire existing line in a few weeks... they said they are manufactured by a company who make bulbs for Toyota...therefore high quality made)

And will finish the lightnings with a few LED's in front and on the side of the bike installed and used more as "Active reflectors" than real "active lightning".

I do not know if this guy HID converted his lights but his "photonblaster" LED caliper seems to promote pretty well conspicuity even during daytime.

LED are maybe too costly yet to be used as Auxiliary lights
but might be able to effectively promote conspicuity
for a fair cost compare to HID
