Plus the two who go BCS Championship game... what happens to the second choices?

Thad,
It looks like Fulmer is going to leave at the end of the season. What do ya think?

I'm not happy about it. He's family; he's been a part of the program for close to 40 years. Last year we won the SEC East. Sure, this year has been ugly, but we've changed offensive coordinators and the players are making too many mistakes. I don't think it's any reason to fire a coach. Especially when it'll cost at least 7 million dollars to get rid of him and his staff. I don't know who we're going to get. I would like to believe they have a successor in mind before they asked Fulmer to resign. It's just a sad sad day. They made Phil cry at his press conference today..........Biff's R wrote:Thad,

On a happier note, did you see the Texas / Texas Tech game Saturday night? That is the second best college football game I've seen in recent history (post HD). The Oklahoma / Boise State game was the best. The Texas Tech / Oklahoma State game this weekend will be a good one too.
It's good to see an SEC team back at number 1. If Alabama keeps winning, it will be a hell of a game for the SEC championship. I don't know if anyone can beat Florida at this point. But, if it's Alabama and Florida, whoever wins IS the national champion. No need to wait until bowl season. Crown 'em and move on.

Fulmer is this year's Lloyd Carr. Been with the school forever, won a National Championship, and had a couple of so-so years.
Texas/Texas Tech was amazing. There were a lot of close games over the weekend. Texas Tech is going to have a tough couple of weeks. My favorite of the last few years was the OSU-Michigan game in 2006.

I would agree with you to a point. See the above referenced game. #1 vs. #2 , and then they both had a letdown in the bowl game. I think that the Big 12 South has the best football right now.touchton wrote: But, if it's Alabama and Florida, whoever wins IS the national champion. No need to wait until bowl season.
