Thanks Rocket. As for the bike, we actually did wash it just before the shot!

Hi folks,
My photography skills aren't anywhere near as good as what I've seen in this thread, but here's a few shots from a trip to Colorado last week.
The road up to Boreas Pass (on the Como side)
My lovely wife, Teri, and her 2006 F650GS
The top of Boreas Pass
Teri in front of the water tower
The road down from Boreas Pass (the Breckenridge side)
Enjoy!
John

No need to be so humble John. Photos are great.
Will shortly get around to creating a Gallery file for R1200R photos on this forum. As you can see , above, we've had some great contributions over recent weeks.

LOL - the luggage was back at our hotel room. Didn't see any need to put the panniers back on just to go over the pass.

Well folks, here's my ugly mug and a couple of pics from this weekends trip to Osoyoos (British Columbia's desert...)
Don't ask me why I look so mad, maybe it's because my armor makes my arm look ridiculous...
Parked at the Hope slide looking at forest fire smoke...
From the hotel... looks like California doesn't it?
The roads were incredible, highly recommended area for 'vigorous' rides.

Thanks for posting the photos. What year is your bike? I like that blue color.
We have friends who live in Vancouver. I'm going to ask them about Osoyoos. That beach looks like a good stopover.

Good question. Have to confess that I have been enjoying a bit of a sabatical during August

- 3 mini holidays, 50th birthday etc etc.
However, this evening I have made some progress on the photo front... we now have a "sticky" thread for our R1200R Photo Gallery , thanks to Doug (new tonight).
Next step is to format the 14 calendar phots (above ) on Cafepress website. I just need to edit each of the photos with owners names and phot locations then post onto the Cafepress website. I assume I can save the finished calendar for all to view / order at your leisure.
Will try to get my arse in gear over the next days.
Bear with me, and in the meantime, everyone feel free to start adding photos to the new Photo Gallery

Thanks for your efforts Ron. It'll be great to see everyone's photos.
I'm 1200 miles from my bike for the next couple of months. Pretty sad I know. Especially since it's prime riding weather. But family needs come first.

Totally agree.
For what it's worth, I aim to get the Calendar finished during September so at least you will be able to admire your bike in picture form whilst away.

The first year the blue was available was 2009, Motorcycle_Girl & I are Very proud.
Osoyoos is a great base for some wonderful rides. If you're familiar with the Destination Highways series of books, have a look at the BC version. Our versions of Tail of the Dragon, many times over... the book is far superior to the neutered info on the website, but here's a link anyway:

It's about 5 hours east of Vancouver, dderig. I guess you could diagonal up from Seattle in 6 - 7 hours. It's true desert, so be prepared for heat (but it's a dry heat, so...)

Hmm, I might have to upgrade to the '09 some day.
Thanks for the Destination Highways link. Maybe Osoyoos is a good base for several days of riding. To avoid the heat, September would no doubt be the month to go?
