This is an interesting thread for many reasons...most interesting to me because the topic mirrors my daily inner dialog.

Like many of you, I surf the internet for my daily entertainment--specifically the BMW motorcycle websites. This is a curse, in that I tend to start lusting over the latest and greatest..."oh man, owning a K1200R would rock!" or "I just finished watching 'Long Way Round'...a R1200GS would be really practical!"

Yet I come back to the RR, and like previous posters have so aptly noted, I don't exceed the bike's capabilities, and it does everything so well.

Darn it, the bike is gorgeous...and...it's paid for!
