Rootin55 - nice choice! I have the .45 caliber version of the same thing and it is a real shooter! The H&K's are totally reliable and accurate and built like a tank but a little wide. I took my new favorite, the slender Browning Hi-Power to the range the other day and then immediately after shooting it shot my H&K. It was like driving a Suburban after driving a sports car!

Felt weird until I started making all those fat holes close together on the target, then I felt much better!

Better get 'em while they're hot. The P7's are out of print but still available new. Prepare to pay about $1300 for a P7M8 or M13.

Nice! I've got Glock models 22 & 23, which are .40 S&W as well.

A Sig P229 in 9mm is next on my list, followed by a USP in .40.

Likely I will NEVER live down thinking that $565.00 was just toooo expensive for that little P7. Few things have felt so 'right' in my little fat paw, save for that compact single-stack Sig' 9mm.... sweeeet.

Though I fancy myself a revolver man, my Glock 19 embarrassed the hell outa the machismo, cops, wannabe's, and para-military types at Gunsite.
Not to overlook how I was heckled at the Police Olympics (that's what they called it in the 80's) for using an outdated, heavy, single-stack, 1911 style .45....... until they found out how "spray & pray" is no match for a guy who can't afford to waste a round.

Jeez, I gotta git ma guns out and go-a-shoot'n!

Guns and motorcycles - I knew I liked this site for a reason.

I've got one bike (down from 3) and 6 handguns...going from a .22 thru a .357. Have not hit the calibers starting with '4' yet, but that will be the next move. It's less expensive to add guns than it is to add bikes, but I really need to work on that.

You could probably add dogs, knives, flashlights and watches. And for the richy-rich among us you could add writing pens, custom knives, and even nicer watches. Men will be boys. - Lee

The USPs aren't too bad. I have a USP Compact 45 and a USP Full 9mm. They aren't SIGs but they'll do.

I've got 2 Kel Tec's (in addition to the S&W's I've got) and have been impressed with the value of the gun. I've yet to have a jam on the 32 'summer' piece. I had two jams on the 9MM with the first box thru the chamber. Hopefully that will remain relatively jam free. Seems like you either like the Kel Tec or hate it. So far, I like them. If you get the chance, try them out. You can pick up a 9MM for less than $300. For those that carry, the 32 weighs a whopping 8oz which is real nice in the summer with shorts.

And Lee - you are right, can't forget my two German Shorthairs (and several knives) to go along with the motorcycles and guns. Life is good. Now if it was only warmer than 'freezing' around here, life would be even better.

Reminds me why I moved from Penn Yan, New York to Danielsville, GA. I would say that guns are more tolerated here as well, but in fact, my New York carry permit, though hard to get, was MUCH less restrictive than my Georgia permit. Go figger. I have both ends of the dog spectrum covered with a Bichon Frise and a German German Shepherd. - Lee
