Pfft... no competition really...
I'd be quite happy to go to battle the dreaded Klingon empire on the ST battlestar!

The question is not how but why.
The fabrication could be very complicated.
While the headlight could be simple the electrics could be complicated otherwise.
Looks are subjective so that is not an issue.
Weight. The things protect like ... well they really protect but they are heavy and would impact the handling in a very negative way.

Noooo......my eyes....my eyes....I can't bear to look at the Vetter.
The ST on the other hand is something to drool over.

For Dean...

The ST looks like something out of a *BAD* Japanese science-fiction movie...
Dallara,
Don't you mean "Japaneezy"?

In fairness to Dean-o, his particular ST looks very nice up close and in person - especially with the cool little Remus decal!
The Vetter fairing above is a "Vindicator", which is the one I had on my 1981 GS750E. For a little more money, you could get the "Windjammer", which was basically a Vindicator with built in turn signals - it looked better than the Vindicator. Vetter had a small and very angular little fairing as well, and it started with a "V" but I can't remember what they called it - does anyone? Something like a Vantage, or something like that?

Bob;
Are you thinking of the Quicksilver? Maybe the bullet?
Whatever it is, it should be on this page.

Jeff

I can't begin to imagine what one of those ugly Windjammers would look like on an R-1150-R...
A bit like this perhaps?
Yikes! What are they (Hannigan) think'n?
