Brand loyalty is for the birds. That's why I tend to move between BMW, HD and Moto Guzzi. Did you consider and/or test ride the new Buell Ulysses? I had a chance to test ride one this fall at a dealer open house. Nice handling bike, but like most adventure bikes it was a bit tall in the saddle for my 5'-11" frame. Once the bike was underway, however, I really enjoyed the torque and maneuverability. The Ulysses was easy to pitch into corners. Also, it has lower center of gravity than the BMW GS, which is priced almost 30 percent more.
