Steve,

The plan is to arrive in Barcelona, and it has Prague as the destination/turnaround point. The fast/direct route is about 1,000 miles each way. I'm sure we can find ways to turn that into 1,500-2,000 without a lot of problem (apparently there are some hills between the two points.) I just picked out the two cities I've wanted to see, and decided that's the ride. We'll be renting bikes so that makes it a round-trip (they like them returned to the rental place.) I'm purposely keeping the number of people on the ride down - and only inviting people I've travelled some distances with before, so it will be 4 of us. One of us is happily multi-lingual which hopefully will simplify things a bit. It looks like the countries involved will be Spain, France, Austria, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Italy, Germany and Austria - plus any little ones we run into. Figuring on about 15 days.

Ted at The Beemer Shot was pretty sure Yacugar shocks were the best choice for my R1200R, although he said he would be more than happy to sell me something more expensive. My dealership just came out with a 15% off coupon, so my R1200R is in the shop getting it's Christmas gift installed now. I may have to brave the cold to try out my new suspension.
