I haven't junked these parts. The screen and bracket are off and complete Where are you located ?
I am in the UK. Now while you would be welcome to the screen and bracket you would have to arrange your own shipping purely because I work offshore and time at home is a premium.
To be honest I don't need the pain getting shipping sorted out.

Just a small update....
The charger kit is almost ready with all CNC work completed, just waiting on the pressurized air-box to be welded and pressure tested before its sent to powder coating, and the charger drive/trigger pulley is getting machined,then they have to borrow a Bike similar to mine to make sure the pipework all fits.
A few small problems have presented themselves don't ya just love project management !!!
The original manufacturer I had engaged to make me two shocks seems to not be making shocks to fit the BMW anymore, so I have engaged http://www.hyperpro.com/hyperpro/en to make me two custom built units to my riding style,weight ect. (
The ECU manufacturer originally told me they had an auto update feature to the maps if I was tuning on the fly, then I accidently find out that this is not a feature and that lot of people are complaining about losing lots of map data after driving and mapping, then closing the mapping software and not physically saving the update, most believing (me included after talking to the manufacturer) that the live auto update was saving the data automatically. So after reading this I called and specifically asked about this feature again to be told " well its on the to-do list for the upcoming firmware update later this year" hmmmmm
So they were told sorry cancel my order.... which they were none too happy about.
So the hunt is on for a suitable and honest ECU supplier that can do what they say they can !!

So as soon as I'm home and there is a pile of boxes to open I will post some pictures of the (hopefully) excellent CNC work.

Pulling my hair out here...
Normally I would have just bought a few lengths of straight tube in stainless steel and cut, welded & ground a manifold and collector myself, but most of my decent tools: mig,tig, plasma cutter, lathe & mill are in storage in another country after I was transferred there with work for a number of years and it still to be confirmed if i go back or stay here yet....So
I purchased a Chinese cat eliminator, it arrived and was a VERY VERY nice piece of engineering which surprised me greatly, but the monkey who packed it didnt pack it properly it had ejected itself from it's box a few times and was not protected enough with plastic inside this it had been bent and wouldn't fit properly. The seller took exception that I thought it had been packed improperly even after I supplied pictures of how it arrived, so much so that he wouldn't send me another I had to go through the process of recovering my money via eBay which I did successfully.
Now I needed another collector, so I purchased from a well known UK manufacturer. Today the new collector arrived man was I disappointed, I'm left thinking "am I expecting too much?"
I will allow the picture do the talking for itself

Are you perhaps modifying the vent tubes under the throttle bodies? The left tube seems to into the valve cover...?TheHeretic wrote:

You have installed a roll of gaffa tape to replace the ABS unit, oh well at least gaffa tape works.

You are both on the right track, the "vent tube" is actually a plug lead going from a second dual output coil. The brackets need painted yet.Arbreacames wrote:

I have managed to get an ECU that will do what it's manufacturer says it will, but the maker advised I change the sparking arrangement so instead of a dual output coil and a pair of stick coils I have piggy backed another dual output coil behind the original, and one of their approved dyno centers is very keen to map it as it such a one off. The bottom outputs on the throttle bodies will be getting used to feed to a Map sensor though.
Final work on the charger kit was taking place this afternoon with the finalization of the trigger wheel settings in relation to TDC which will allow me to use (one of) the original hall sensors, the lower one will just not be wired up, the ECU maker asked if i would leave it in as they had the thought of using it to see if they could write some custom code to see if they could incorporate a fully sequential feature without the need for a cam sensor, but that is for the future too.
The custom shocks have been made and being dispatched from the Netherlands tomorrow.
And I'm going to mock up the forks soon to allow me to get a template made for brackets machined to mount the six pot Hayabusa calipers I have procured.
And excuse the crappy bolt in those pictures I'm still waiting on a stainless steel version to arrive.
And gaffa tape pppffffffff wash your mouth out that is military spec cloth loom tape which you can see in the last picture.

Have been following your thread and am looking forward to seeing it finished. Yesterday I received a book from the P.O. of my bike its called "The Illustrated Buyers Guide" BMW Motorcycles by Stefan Knittle & Roland Slabon 2nd edition, very nice book with good history of the BMW bikes and in the back of the book is a section on production racers, they were using super chargers on boxers at least as early as 1930. Its a neat (yes I said neat
) book and am going to enjoy reading in detail about our bikes,
Will try to post a pix of a Douglas twin that BMW took the Boxer design from, saw this bike and heard it run at a bike show in Hiawassee Ga., BMW's sound like a Douglas at least the early models I have heard.

installation
Hi All
I have begun the installation, man its a tight fit with everything having to be installed in the correct order with no instructions gulp !!!!
just a little massaging of the bike being required to get the actual charger to sit in the correct location.
Front view "dry fitting" to understand the correct installation sequence that is required.

Charger is in its home and its a VERY snug fit.

Interesting location for the supercharger. Are you aware of anyone attempting to fit it above the gearbox, driven by the outer gear ring on the clutch? (starter motor ring) It would seem like a more natural place for it?

While I agree it might seem a more natural place, from an engineering standpoint, a much much more of a difficult thing to undertake, as it would require the gear box casing to be cut, possibly seriously compromising the structural integrity of the bike.

Today's update
Hi All
Just a small update of pictures of the dry fit of the kit just to make sure everything is fitting as it is supposed to, I have to make a few small spacers and the guy running the cad machine forgot to add the belt thickness around the circumference of the pulleys to his belt length calculation, and sent a belt that was way too short
But other than that things are going well.
Cat eliminator (the third one after the first one arrived damaged, and the second one seemed to have been welded by a blind man)

Is that the best location for the air-filter and intake? That's going to be pretty exposed to road grit and any water spray - even with the rear bodywork in place.
Wouldn't it be better to have the open air filter at the join point just under the right fuel injector? (or somewhere less likely to have dirty air) Or is there a 'tuned length' requirement for the blower inlet manifold?
