Not exposing any skin will remove the wind chill factor, also.

Brothers and Sisters, I am happy to announce that I have finally found true windshield happiness. Just adding longer bolts and 1/2" spacers under the lower bracket mount makes my CalSci XL screen perform as perfectly as I could hope, and all for only $3.59! Mark at CalSci stocks longer bolts and spacers, so if you order from him (or have ordered from him), just ask. I found mine at the local specialty tool shop. With this setup I can comfortably cruise at 80, open-faced, and have taken it to 100 mph. Problem solved! I'm now free for further farkeling...

So by adding the longer bolts and spacer you tilted the windscreen back toward you.Toward horizontal . Less straight up and down?

Yep, tilted it back toward me, increased the rake, however you want to say it. I didn't measure it before, but now it is raked at 30° from the vertical.

I went for a ride today with the 16" CB that I got from Rich on this forum. It is gonna be the one for me so I've got a 18" CB, a 20" CB, & a 22" Parabellum for sale. All are clear and mount to the stock BMW tall bracket.

Just as a complete aside looking at the windchill factor chart. No problems like that here in South Oz..today was 45.1 degrees... Centigrade that is,with 6/7 forecast > 40....what happens to aircooled motors then??/  Talk about a "sunburnt country"

5'10" w/ a 30 inch length on my Levi 501s but my Mayer seat is taller than stock and I am pretty wide with a HUGE armored jacket.

So how does the 16" CB screen compare with the BMW "tall screen"?? :?

I saw a summary report somewhere and as I recall the BMW Touring screen was shorter (3-4"??) than the CB 16"...

Thanks! :D
But... I was really asking about air turbulance, and buffeting...
Sorry about the confusion, I really need to start expressing myself more clearly.
